PokerStars Summer Games

The Olympic games in Beijing may have come to an end, but the Summer Games at PokerStars have just begun! It's a brand new poker experience and best of all; it's 100% free! So show your pride, and help your country on the road to victory! Here's how it all works:

It's a poker competition between the United States and Canada. It  will run for the next 8 weeks, leading up to a $100,000 grand finale between members of these nations. Round 1 qualifiers for this event will run 4 times daily. All residents of the United States and Canada will be allowed to play one round 1 qualifier of his/her choice each week for free. The top 200 finishers in each of these qualifiers will win cash prizes, and the top 80 will win the right to represent his/her country in the $100,000 final against the neighboring North American nation.

  • If you already have a PokerStars account, you can find these games and register in the main lobby by clicking the "Tournament" tab, than the "Regional" tab.
  • If you do not already have an account, and would like to sign up; you will need to Download The Free Software Here, and register an account.

Very interesting! I never knew gambling themed games are in tournament as well... This is cool. Free practice games? What are the rules anyway? Maybe I know this game but called different in my local language. ^^
